Machinability of steel application depends on its alloy elements and manufacturing process, and the difference is important especially in turning. So YG-1 invented three Turning CVD grades: YG3010, YG3020, YG3030, to get optimized tool life for various steel turning application. 

YG3010 gives optimized tool life for stabilized steel application with superior hardness, YG3020 is first recommended for various steel turning application with its balancing between hardness and toughness, and YG3030 is focused on toughness for safe machining without unexpected breakage in automated manufacturing system or heavy interrupted steel application. YG3010 can be used in Cast Iron with CVD YG1001 grade, and YG3030 can be applied for Stainless Steel with PVD YG801 grade.
