Excellent Chip Evacuation and Lower Power Consumption in High-Speed Roughing of Aluminum​

 

  YG-1 has introduced Alu-Power HPC with Chip Breaker in metric sizes to provide an excellent chip evacuation addressing issues such as re-cutting chips, high power consumption, and related concerns involving machine, spindle, and workpiece fixtures. Through the use of a Chip Breaker geometry, it provides excellent chip evacuation, lower power consumption, and high productivity on Aluminum roughing operations. It can use in diverse industrial fields such as aerospace, transportation, electronics, packaging, die & mold, and other segments that prioritize materials like aluminum and other non-ferrous options due to their lightweight nature and ease of machining.

 

Product Features

 

Chip Breaker Design: 


1. Reduced loads on both the machine and part by breaking the chips into smaller segments.

 

2. Designed to prevent recutting of chips by avoiding the creation of small, comma-shaped chips, typical of knuckle roughers, that could re-enter the cutting zone.

 

 

Geometry:


1. It has retained the overall geometry, including the cylindrical land, which has been well proven to stabilize the machining process.

 

2. Smooth transition of Chip Breaker notches to eliminate weak points in the cutting edge.


3. For optimum utilization, the Alu-Power HPC with Chip Breaker for roughing is specifically tailored to work in tandem with the existing Alu-Power HPC for finishing.



It is recommended to use a small radius on the Alu-Power HPC with Chip Breaker when a standard Alu-Power HPC with sharp corner is used for finishing.

It is recommended to use a large radius on the Alu-Power HPC with Chip Breaker when using a standard Alu-Power HPC with corner radius for finishing.
