YG-1 has released the new “Prime Tap catalog” for the Asian market expanding Prime Tap to include JIS standard tap dimensions.
Prime Tap is YG-1’s answer for high-performance tapping across a range of ductile materials including carbon and alloy steels, ductile iron, aluminum, and stainless steel. Prime Tap is the solution for advanced manufacturing where high performance meets versatility. Made of premium powdered metal high-speed steel and finished with our proprietary X-Coating, Prime Tap delivers long tool life and an excellent thread finish. Our highly engineered flute geometry offers improved chip control – especially with troublesome blind hole tapping. Achieve added versatility with YG-1’s anti-overfeeding geometry for use across the spectrum of tapping technology.
Prime Tap with JIS standard will be available in the Asian market starting in December 2022.
